Eliza Hunt
Obsidian Hunter Jumper is the home of Eliza Hunt and her full service equestrian training program. Eliza grew up on the back of a horse. A competitive hunter jumper rider with a very strong dressage background, she has an innate ability to connect with horses. Eliza has consistently been one of the top hunter riders on the West Coast with multiple first-place finishes in the hunter derbies.
She has a gift with young and unschooled horses – paired with her intuition, patience, and skill she has purchased many green horses and turned them into successful, well-schooled, & competitive horses. These horses have gone on to win championships, equitation medals, hunter derbies, grand prix’s, and numerous BCHJA year end championships.
The Obsidian training program is based on the foundations of good horsemanship, proper equitation and always putting the horse first. All horses and riders in Eliza's training are schooled in basic dressage as well as over fences.
Affiliated with some of the top trainers in North America, Eliza’s connections give her the ability to pair the perfect horse with their rider.
